Verified Reviewer |Horrible customer service
I am extremely disappointed with my experience. The customer service is not only unhelpful, but blatantly dishonest.
My original order was supposed to be delivered within the stated timeframe, but the date came and went with no update. When I contacted customer service, they confidently provided a new shipping date which also turned out to be false.
It has now been over two weeks past the expected delivery, and I still have no product, no tracking update, and no honest information from the company. Every time I reach out, Im given a different excuse or timeline, none of which actually happen.
A brand should not lie to its customers just to buy time. If they cant fulfill orders, they should be upfront instead of repeatedly misleading people.
I will not be ordering from them again and would strongly caution others before purchasing.
P.S. attachment is a proof that "Live chat" is a waste of time
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered

Verified Reviewer |Angry customer because zero help from KitchenAid
My ice machine. I booked an appointment and they let me know they don't work on sealed systems, but you never let me know.
This ice machine hasn't worked properly since I got it. I bought all KitchenAid appliances for my remodel and will never buy again. I had to add magnets to my under-counter fridge so it will stay closed. My fridge in the kitchen has a rip now in the rubber seal.
It's impossible to talk to an actual person.
Your customer service is horrible!!! The appliances are all under 2 years old!
- No customer service whatsoever
Preferred solution: Someone to call us back!
User's recommendation: To never buy KitchenAid appliances!

Verified ReviewerNo response from customer service OR chat
I have tried three times to get in touch with customer service regarding the purchase of an espresso machine. I went through chat yesterday and got nowhere; it took over an hour to get anyone to respond.
Finally, today I tried calling customer service directly and, once again, got nowhere. They said it would take 2 hours and 50 minutes for anyone to respond.
I didn't ask for my callback number... ugh.
- Quality appliances
- Customer service is awful
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Customer Service is Horrible - don't even bother.

Verified Reviewer |Extremely disappointed with KitchenAid
I am beyond frustrated with KitchenAid. My dishwasher failed after only about three years and was diagnosed as needing a major motor repair that costs nearly as much as replacing the unit.
For a premium brand, this is completely unacceptable. I contacted KitchenAid customer service expecting support or accountability. Instead, I received dismissive responses and was offered only a small discount toward purchasing another KitchenAid product after already paying a premium price. A dishwasher is not a disposable appliance.
I maintained this unit properly and expected durability and support to match the KitchenAid reputation and price point.
I am sharing this experience so other consumers are aware before purchasing a KitchenAid dishwasher. This has been an extremely disappointing experience.
- Worked beautifully for three years
- Major malfunction after the third year
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Don’t buy
Complaint
Have a customer service line with an option to speak to a live representative. None of your options allow for something different than what you offer.
Tried many different numbers at Whirlpool and KitchenAid.
Own a washing machine and dryer 9 years old. Washer repaired 3-4 times and now motherboard is bad.
- Problems right from the beginning
Preferred solution: Some type of refund!
User's recommendation: Don't by Whirl pool products
No customer service
Have representative call me.

Verified ReviewerFalse advertising
Bought a kitchen aid mixing bowl for the mixer, all pictures in the box had a handle, got home no handle and blank Friday deals were over! Even when I opened the box the paperwork with it had a handle on the cover but the bowl did not have handles.
Representatives said all their brochures and boxes have pictures of bowls with handles doesnt matter what bowl is being sold.

Verified Reviewer |WAITING FOREVER TO GET SOMEONE ON THE LINE
I waited an hour and the automated voice kept saying 15 minutes. Its ridiculous how *** their customer service is.
They need to hire more people and pay them better so they dont hate their job.
Im not buying from kitchen aid after this experience. Just cant support a company that doesnt care at all.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Rebate
It appears to me that you do not want us to receive the rebate we were promised when purchases were made. I purchased 5 appliances last year and was promised a rebate.
You sent me a debit card, but it expired on Dec 31, 2025 before I was able to use it. I have tried calling about 6 different phone numbers, emailed the address on the back of the card, called the number on the back of card and e mail address is not valid nor were any phone numbers. I need to hear from you and want my card renewed.
It is money owed me from your rebate promise. Diane Gustafson

Verified Reviewer |Called Customer Service today
Too bad 1/16th of a single star isn't an option. They do not even deserve the worth of a single star.
Called, some rude guy answered, gave me the runaround, then put me on hold for 52 min. Their every-2 minute prompt asks if you would like to be called back, press 1. And, every 2 minutes I pressed 1 and their system didn't even take it.
So yeah, 52 minutes later, a woman finally answers and cannot even solve my request. >>> DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY, unless you have nothing better in your life to do, and plan on celebrating your next birthday due to being put on hold for so long.

I bought the range and the griddle should come with the oven - should not have to reach out to have it sent.
I was only calling to have my griddle sent to me for my new kitchen-aid range.

Verified ReviewerDangerous Dishwashers, Horrible Customer Service, Untenable NDAs
If anyone is wondering what a defect-related injury and permanent scar is worth to KitchenAid / Whirlpool, its $500 - but that settlement would have required selling my soul, signing an untenable non-disclosure agreement, and trusting them to fix a common safety problem. After several unproductive rounds of communication with both Whirlpool Customer Service and Claims, I did not agree to their NDA and instead filed a complaint with the Consumer Product Safety Commission: https://www.saferproducts.gov/PublicSearch/Detail?ReportId=462****
To summarize this literally painful journey, my wife and I leased a very nice condo with a KitchenAid refrigerator (another never-ending quality problems rant for another day) and dishwasher.
As I was standing on the side and opening the dishwasher door via the front handle, the hinge mechanism bound and then released without warning. This caused me to lean forward unexpectedly while the side of the door impacted, and subsequently cut into, my shin. The hinge was never smooth, but this was the first time it bound and then released without warning. After treating my injury, which is now a permanent and very sensitive scar, I inspected the dishwasher to find an unexpected sharp edge and point on the upper front corner of the door where it could easily come into contact with flesh such as hands, torsos, legs, or even childrens faces.
This condition was generated by several poor design and manufacturing practices which led to an overhang of the plastic control panel and a protruding sharp edge and point.
I am an engineer who has both studied and taught Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, so this is a more than reasonable assessment. Anyway, it may seem like an unlikely combination of events that led to my injury, but examination of other brand-new KitchenAid dishwashers revealed this sharp edge and point condition was quite common - 1 out of every 3 I looked at. It is a design configuration that also appears to have been used on many Whirlpool-branded dishwashers over the years. I personally think they should be recalled or at the very least inspected by Whirlpool at their cost.
I contacted Whirlpool Customer Service and after hearing injury they were very anxious to get the unit back for analysis.
So anxious, they offered our landlord a free replacement KitchenAid dishwasher of similar specification. Except they charged him for a far inferior Whirlpool model that didnt come close to matching the original one in features, performance, or appearance. They refused to answer our complaint about their broken promise of a free replacement.
Along the way, Whirlpool tried to get me to sign a very restrictive NDA in exchange for $500. To boil down their lengthy boilerplate, it essentially meant that I could never tell anyone, anytime, anywhere how I got the big scar on my shin, I could not file any future medical claims if my injury got worse, plus I had to remove or refrain from posting any online mentions of the incident such as our Consumer Product Safety Commission filing or this report.
I refused, then asked what they were going to do about this defect, then never heard from them again. It appears, however, that sharp plastic edges are still a problem as I have observed them on display samples in both Lowes and Home Depot in January 2025 more than a year after my complaint.
I hope everyone reading this inspects their KitchenAid and Whirlpool appliances for exposed sharp edges and points, and if you do, or did, get injured, at least you know what to expect.
Over the years, we have easily spent $25,000 on KitchenAid and Whirlpool products, many with quality problems, but this was the first safety issue. Given Whirlpools response, we will never purchase another one again.
User's recommendation: Carefully inspect all of your KitchenAid and Whirlpool appliances for dangerous sharp edges and points

Verified ReviewerKitchenaid deceptive sales/marketing
Kitchenaid deceptive sales/marketing -
I ordered a stand mixer that was on sale on Kitchenaid website. after waiting for weeks i come to find out they canceled my order because they claim "...my billing address wasn't correct - it was missing apt #".
i run all my business and personal charges through for forty years and never had a problem. I then gave them the info and they said i "couldn't correct my address" and that i was a "credit risk".
After filing the BBB complaint, I called and tried a third time to get them to honor the order. After Customer Service tried to reinitiate the order and said I was again declined, I asked to be passed to her superior. I was told by the superior that, my card was declined because I was a flagged as a credit risk and the charge was declined by my bank I called Chase and they said there was absolutely no such charge attempted nor any charge declined Kitchenaid clearly was lying.
To add insult to injury the superior said I could not ever do business with Kitchen Aid and to take my business elsewhere... Like seriously??
I have a near perfect credit score I run large business charges from time to time but I pay in full on time every month for over forty years.
That said, I think they are being deceptive because of the huge discount offered they are trying to weasel out of the order with bogus claims. I've filed claims with BBB and the FCC.
User's recommendation: they don't honor their sales discounts

Not able to talk to anyone, the technician did not resolve the problem and Kitchen aid customer service is not available , telling me to stay on line but then Im not able to talk to anyone
About

KitchenAid offers a wide selection of kitchenware. It is an American home appliance brand owned by Whirlpool Corporation. The company was started in 1919 by The Hobart Corporation to produce stand mixers; the "H-5" was the first model introduced. The company faced stiff competition as rivals moved into this emerging market, and introduced its trademarked silhouette in the 1930s with the model "K", the work of designer Egmont Arens. Dishwashers were the second product line to be introduced, in 1949. It was in the late '80s with a promotional campaign on the back of an expansion by retailer Williams-Sonoma that saw brand awareness double in three years. Currently KitchenAid provides such products as Dishwashers, Disposers and Compactors, Cooking Products, Grills, Hoods and Vents, Refrigerators, and Water Filters, etc.
