We remodeled our kitchen 4 years ago and purchased all KitchenAid products. We love all of the products except the refrigerator which was a lemon from day one.

We spent about $7500.00 in products all working except this lovely refrigerator {model number KRMF706ESS01 serial number K6192****} The amount of money in lost groceries due to the non-cooling refrigerator and the time we have had to take off of work to schedule the repair men has been countless. We have had this refrigerator worked on numerous times with Diamond Services whom has a list of repairs that has been done to this refrigerator. This refrigerator never cooled properly, it would turn on and off and then just shut off completely for the past several years. The refrigerator has had its computer board, condenser fan, and the rear fridge components replaced back in July 2019, two months later was having the exact same issue.

We called again and Customer Service was no help. We explained to them we wanted a new refrigerator obviously this was a lemon, they just kept offering to fix it which obviously was not working. July 2020 the refrigerator completely stopped working, but the freezer was still operating and then both stopped completely. We put in another call to KitchenAid and all they could offer us was a roughly $1400.00 credit to purchase a new refrigerator through KitchenAid in which all the models we requested were not available.

We finally had to go elsewhere to purchase a refrigerator and spend additional money, after spending $3500.00 dollars on a non-working lemon product, 18 months after purchase. We are truly disappointed in KitchenAid's customer service and felt completely taken on this expensive purchase. We recently had a different repair man out whom was at a conference and said that multiple kits have been used to fix this model refrigerator and none have worked. We are now stuck with a non-working refrigerator in my garage, not being able to sell it or fix it.

We are sending this letter in hope that something would be offered to compensate for our misery, time and expense that this ordeal has put us through. We have contacted our lawyer to pursue this issue and are hoping KitchenAid will address this issue in a timely and proper manner.

KitchenAid Pros: Good design potential but flawed mechanics, No pros.

KitchenAid Cons: Actual product as i have a lemon, Poor quality parts.
