Dishwasher stopped working after only eight months of light use. A repairman came to the house on October 28th and said the water pump had quit.
A new pump had to be ordered. Four weeks later and still no pump. Unable to contact Kitchenaid by phone. Opted to get a callback since all their agents were busy, but callback failed.
When I answered the phone, a recorded voice said press 1 if I was the caller and was ready to talk. I kept pressing 1 and the recorded voice kept telling me I hadn't input anything. I kept pressing 1 and finally the recorded voice said I had used up all my time and the call was terminated. Then I called again and decided to stay on hold.
35 minutes on hold.Gave up on that.
Now trying to do online chat. Wait time was 13 minutes, then 5 minutes later it was 11 minutes, 5 minutes later wait time is 7 minutes.
User's recommendation: Do not buy KitchenAid.
