I went to use the self clean feature fore the first time on my EXPENSIVE dual fuel gas/electric KitchenAid oven/range and it just stopped and the door remained locked. I Google "kitchenaid (model number)KGSA906PSS0" and the same issue I am experiencing is all over the internet.

There is even class action lawsuits against the company for the exact same issue. I contact customer service about the issue 2 times and they said that there is no known issue.

But there clearly is, and I own the Architecture Series, and it was also discussed in detail. , the consumer should have no financial responsibility to repair the oven back to operational state, the manufacturer should also stand behind their product in the future for the issue in case I need to clean my over again due to the known issue with the self cleaning problem.

Monetary Loss: $2500.

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Just had my experience with the self destruct, I mean self cleaning button. Sure enough when I called kitchen aid this was the first that they had ever heard of this problem. Which of course a simple google/yahoo/bing search shows the exact opposite.

IF you own this model series do yourself a favor and never use the self clean. If you have had this problem please file a complaint with the BBB
