KitchenAid - Very expensive ceramic cooktop scratched first time used

1.0
Details
We installed this Kitchenaid product in July 2019 and used it to cook pasta. We used an enamal pot and made sure there was nothing on the bottom. There were two bad scratches after this use. Called Kitchenaid and their only remedy was to send us a cleaning kit and tell us that if we wanted a technician to come out we would have to pay. When you pay this kind of money for a top-of-the-line downdraft ceramic top cooktop it should not scratch, especially when used the first time and the second time. The warranty doesn't cover "cosmetic" issues.

KitchenAid in Charleston, South Carolina - Discolored Cooktop

1.2
Details
After a few months my brand new cooktop is discoloring. I am told it just needs to be polished which is *** I have cleaned and polished the heck out of it. Whirlpool will not make it right. Don't waste your money on the name Kitchen Aid. It is junk and they don't stand behind their products.

KitchenAide Quality No More

1.0
Details
As part of our second suite of KitchenAide appliances in 15 years, we purchased a KitchenAid gas stove top/electric over combo just under a year ago...and the self cleaning function is TERRIBLE. We called KitchenAid to feedback and their customer service department told us its not really a self cleaning function and that we should use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to clean it! We will never buy KitchenAide again. As an aside, the KA fridge we purchased at the same time is also a design mess. The inside of the fridge from a layout perspective is equally as terrible.

The parts are always available at some price, but for $95 you have to wait. The reason for your wait is that the repair company only gets paid a flat price per call, and cannot mark up the bill at all.

So he gets the same low amount whether he had to buy parts or not. He has to wait several weeks to get paid, too, and still loses money when parts are needed. He has to buy the parts himself but pay full price for them from his supplier when he gets them. He then sells them to you for less than he paid for the parts, in most cases.

He would rather have had the warranty company deny the claim, and perhaps he tried that route. Had the warranty company known you were using your stove for commercial purposes (A catering business) it would NOT have been covered. For that matter, it is illegal to cook food for public consumption from your home, unless you have a separate, commercial, inspected kitchen. Of course you know this already, and are just looking to bypass the law AND use the home warranty to your advantage.

Then you turn around and gripe about how many days it took to get your commercial kitchen repaired for $95. Typical home warranty customer!

I purchased a Kitchen Aid 5 burner stove. It was only after I purchased the stove that I realized there is no way you can even fit 5 pans/pots on this unless they are all extremely small. I actually have a difficult time fitting four pans on this as they are all...

KitchenAid - Kitchen Aid Pots and Pans No Good in My Opinion

Skillet bottom was pocking and aluminum on the bottom was thrashed. Seems like the aluminum on the bottom is too soft. When I called KitchenAid, they said that I used too high of a heat (on my non-commercial gas stovetop) and that I must have moved (or slid) the skillet without lifting it directly up. To me, cooking on settings from low to high (always with food in the pan), never using high heat long enough to burn anything in the pan, and moving or sliding a pan from one burner to another on a continuous grate cooktop is normal cooking use. KitchenAid disagrees. In my opinion the quality of their products and customer service has deteriorated, and their idea of normal "cooking" use is completely ridiculous.

KitchenAid in Calgary, Alberta - Kitchen aid. Third strike this thing has to go

We bought a new kitchen aid kub500 about 3 months ago. It completely failed on the second day of use, trail appliances was awesome they exchanged it great I thought, two months later the entire right side quit working, we went through the warranty company for service and were quickly annoyed. Called trail again once again awesome they replaced the entire unit. This lasted 2 weeks and guess what yet another complete failure 4 pm Friday. They will not come to service until Monday I guess it's sandwiches and cereal for my family for at least three days. Long story short I am done with this piece of *** that was not cheap by any means I see a gas cook top in my future and will never purchase kitchen aid equipment again. Stick to mixers and blenders guys

KitchenAid stovetop

We complained about a year and a half about this stovetop being way too fragile to cook on and scratching very easily. Well now we have to replace two of the burners for a cost of $416.00 This unit is not even two years old! We tried to get KitchenAid to help us with the scratch issue but all the would say is "I'm sorry" They should have told us before they sold us the unit that you need to buy all new stainless steel pans and scrub it weekly to maintain. Still with very careful maintenance, this unit is scratched and does not have the nice glass appearance that was the selling point of the purchase. The burners are not very accurate and burn out quickly.

KitchenAid in Calgary, Alberta - Internal Error on Electronic Induction Cooktop

Paid $1200 for a touch-activated electronic induction cooktop. Had numerous problems where it overheated and turned off. Then two burners began flashing an F0 error (internal error). Called Kitchenaid customer service and was told to turn off power to the unit. Tried that and it didn't fix the problem. No other resolution were possible so was told we had to book a service appointment and since the stove was a couple of years old that all labour would be at our cost. The first appointment they had was 2 1/2 weeks away and they could only provide a 4 hour window so someone had to take a day off. If we wanted someone to come sooner then they could give me the telephone number of a different company. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with their product the lady informed that that she had done all she could. The customer service people are useless and it seems Kitchenaid is unconcerned with customer experience once you have purchased. We own other properties and will never put in another Kitchenaid stove.

KitchenAid in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota - Poor Service Communication

I called Kitchenaid to set up a service appointment for my cooktop. I was told there were two service providers in my area one charge a $89 flat fee just for coming out to my house. The other charged $129 service fee and labor charges. I asked what the difference was between the two companies and was told that if the problem involved labor to fix the problem it would be covered in the $129. I then asked what if the appliance could not be fixed and was told that I would be refunded the labor charges. I went with the company per the kitchenaid persons suggestion that charged $129. The appliance was not fixed and I was not refunded the labor portion of the charge. The person at kitchenaid flat out lied to me.
