We purchased a Kitchen Aid double wall oven 2 years ago. The first time we used the new oven, it would not hold temperature(at 350 it would go to 425).
The oven would just go to whatever it wanted and would not hold a set temp. The Kitchen Aid tech came out and replace all electronics on the NEW oven. When, he retested the oven, it went to the correct temp. My wife made some cookies about a month later, all burned.
We check the temp of the oven again (three thermocouples) again it would not hold temp and just went wherever it wanted to. My wife quit using it as we have a small Wolf countertop oven that works perfectly. We wanted to cook a ham today that was too large for the Wolf oven. We set the wall oven at 325 and waited for it to heat up.
It has gone to 260 and has not changed for an hour. We are going to remove the TWICE used Kitchen Aid and try to sell it used online and replace it with another oven that does not have the same issues.
We will never purchase another Kitchen Aid appliance and advise anyone who is considering Kitchen Aid to look at other brands that work as designed. Some other high-end brands cost a little more but, spending $4000.00 on a Kitchen Aid oven and basically throwing it away, the more expensive brands become a lot cheaper.
User's recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE KITCHEN AID APPLIANCES. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO.
