KitchenAid built in microwave

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My microwave door stopped working just outside the warranty period. I called a KitchenAid repair service that came out and told me that KitchenAid provides no parts to repair the microwave. They did, however, charge me $100 for the service call. With the kit to install and the microwave, I am out almost $700. I wasted $700 on the microwave and another $100 to be told there is nothing they can do. Now the timer lights no longer read properly either. But I won't call a repairman and pay another service fee. What a rip off. I have an entire kitchen filled with Kitchenaid appliances. So, yeah, I'm a little concerned.

Just Don't

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a Kitchen Aid 706ESS just in May 2018. On Christmas Eve my daughter says there's something stinky in the fridge.

It was a coolant leak. I called Kitchen Aid for service for which they sent out a service call for Dec.30th. This guy charged me for the service call- diagnostics- $125 and said he needs parts from the manufacturer. I called Kitchen-aid customer service after being notified my technician couldn't make the scheduled date.

I requested a new fridge as this one is obviously a piece of junk leaking poisonous coolant in my house for the kids to breath in. They said they NEVER replace fridges, they just service them. A Lie. They sent out someone finally on Jan 13th!!!

He did a repair job and said I'll contact you tomorrow to see if the fridge is working. This morning the fridge isn't working; it leaked all the poisonous gas once again into the house. This is day #21 with no fridge &;;;;;;;;;;;amp; no idea if it will EVER get fixed.

All i do know is they won't replace the piece of cancer causing junk & the days pass bye....

I will NEVER NEVER order anything from this company or it's parent company again, and i suggest you don't either. This is a horror show worthy of Mike O'Shea & SOS.

Dishwasher Infant failure

3 month old dishwasher Has plastic detergent dispenser which has broken covers. Should not have been designed wit such flimsy parts. Now waiting for warranty service. The broken part, Surprise- made by Whirlpool, retails for $90 if not in warranty.

The service tech who came to install the new parts for the ones that had shorted did a great job - replaced parts, made sure everything works and no leakages are present - now let us see if the unit operates reliably

Dishwasher has had the push button panel replaced twice and now the control board - there is not much else to replace - all in7 years. To add to our disappointment is that the unit is used a maximum of two times a week - definitely a light load. KitchenAid customer service did listen - lets see if the unit has reliability after the repair

DON’T BUY A KITCHEN AID DISHWASHER!

My 3 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher died yesterday. There was an awful burning odor and the machine shut down. Is it the motor or the motherboard or both? It is way too expensive to pay the repairman and for the parts. In have had 2 Kitchen Aid dishwashers in the last 14 years! They were not cheap! I chose them because they had good ratings and Kitchen Aid is suppose to be one of the top manufacturers! Kitchen Aid should stand behind their products and stop putting out poor quality merchandise. I’m sure everything is being out sourced and made cheaply! Why does the consumer have to pay $700 for the use of a high end dishwasher for 3 years? Who protects the consumers? There are many angry customers with similar stories concerning KitcheAid dishwashers. RIDICULOUSNESS. I will NEVER buy another KitchenAid product and I will be sure to be sure to bad rap their dishwashers every chance I get!

Untrustworthy

I bought a Kitchenaid mixer with stand. It came with a notice stating if you register your product, you get 25% off your first attachment purchase. The fine print says Offer available on purchase of select attachments made from official KitchenAid website only, excludes some model numbers (lists them). I registered and didn't know how to get 25% off so I went to the online chat at which time the person said I had to phone and that was better anyway because the phone service had better details than the website. I wanted to buy the food processor attachment which is on sale for $199 online (plus the 25% coupon I wanted to use). The phone person told me I can't order online, I must order via phone. Her price was $229 and then I could get 25% off. Her Manager said the same. I pointed out Kitchenaid is one company so why do they have 2 prices and the flyer that came with my mixer said to order online but I needed a code. They refused to provide a code and said my only option was the more expensive option. This is false advertising and Kitchenaid is untrustworthy.

NEVER BUY A KITCHEN AID PRODUCT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

For decades I have purchased KitchenAid appliances but large and small. Last year one of my double ovens wasn't heating.

I called for service with a KitchenAid certified company that couldn't get out to me for 2 weeks. I contacted an appliance repair company I have used many times and they came out the next day. Replaced some part that cost $700, the same part I had replaced 18 months ago when it was still under warranty.

I contacted KitchenAid who basically told me too bad. That since I had used a non-certified repair company they couldn't help me.

However, when I asked if I had used a certified KitchenAid repair company would they reimburse me for the part, and the answer was no.

The same very expensive part going bad within 18 months says there is a problem.

After fighting with them for hours I get a call from someone after I wrote a complaint on this website. Called to tell me they wanted to help solve my problem.

Their solution: to explain how sorry they were but there was nothing they could do and KitchenAid wasn't going to reimburse me or help me in any way.

And they call this customer service
