less than 2 years old- dishwasher broken again. 2 service calls-1 to see problem order part than 2nd service call in 2 weeks to make repairs. replacing same part that was replaced 2 years ago. have had refrigerator(kitchen aid) finally replaced after 8 or 10 service visits on that appliance. built in convection oven has had 6 trips out to repair. thought we were buying top of the line. 10 month old induction cooktop stopped working. Repair people have been out 4 times to replace parts. They admit they don't know how to work on the cooktop and are just guessing at what is wrong with it. The entire cooktop has been taken apart and reassembled. Bought top of the line refrigerator and dishwasher. Very expensive as refrigerator was about $3500.00 and dishwasher around $900.00. Could not be more dissatisfied about both products. Ice maker and water dispenser in fridge very noisy and makes ice at snails pace. Dishwasher cycle on normal is about a hour and the drying feature leaves the dishes very wet. We bought a new set of aplliances about 20 months ago now and among them was a kitchenaid diswasher. I have to say I have never in my life had so many problems with anything i have purchased. Kitchenaid - KA Cooktops .. Horrible Quality and Customer Service

Purchased a KitchenAid electric cooktop (model KECD867XSS02) in September 2016. By end of October, 2 of the 5 burners were coming off the surface (see photo). The surface is a nightmare to keep clean, but I used the products suggested by KitchenAid and not only had a surface that looked unclean, but where the paint was literally coming off. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! There has been a problem with the main board failures and kitchenaid will not stand behind it if it is a day out of warranty. A cottage industry has evolved repairing these defective boards. A new series of boards has been designed but it will cost you at least $600. I purchased a KitchenAid KFXS25RYMS over a year ago thinking I was getting top of the line; now the bottom freezer collects moisture (as there is NO WATER) going to the refrigerator) freezeing then melting which has ruined my floor. Set electronic board to self clean oven. Door locked, blew electronic board. Waited for parts to repair for two (2) months (back order). Cannot unlock the door to replace part. Terrible design. Do not use self cleaning. Kitchen Aid should pull all of these ovens as they are defective. Repair man has said they cannot be used as self cleaning. Only use the broiler to clean by hand. We purchased a dual Built-in oven in late 2015. Paid $2,599 for the oven. Also, purchased the extended warranty that begins 2 months from now. The top oven would not maintain a consistent temperature after 3 months. A technician was assigned and repaired the top oven.
