Kitchenaid builds junk products.

Kitchenaid dishwashers-overpriced POS Whirlpool products, and they're not supported with parts. Prime example of our throwaway society. I paid a premium price for what I believed was a superior product (based on past history, I guess) and it's lasted just under a year and a half. Got much better service out of some bottom of the line machines of various makes in the past. We dicided to splurge on our kitchen remodel and go for the supposed "best". Kitchenaid ain't it. I should have bought a Bosch or Frigidaire. The parts to fix ours seem unavailable; backordered, if they can be believed. I'm tired of messing with them, and may be forced to replace it; can't wait forever for their so-called resolution. Don't call their consumer service dept. either. It took 45 minutes to get through their stupid automated switchboard and finally be able to talk to a real human (who really didn't care; their job was to just get off the phone and deal with the next upset consumer).
