Purchased all Kitchen Aid appliances in 2006. Ongoing problems with microwave & Range. Customer service (Shari) was not at all willing to assist or remedy the Range problems due to warranty expiration. Microwave was fixed after several repair visits only because it was a safety issue! The range had the electronic control and touch pad replaced once and now it has failed again and will cost over 450.00 plus to repair. Kitchen aid is overpriced and produces low grade poor quality appliances that they do not stand behind when they fail. Paying more does not mean they are better! I want others to avoid being taken advantage of by a name brand appliance giant like kitchen aid. Their service representatives could care less about the hardships people face due to the inferior product they produce. 129133f

I'd like to stand on the street corner and tell everyone who walks by never, under any circumstances buy any Kitchen Aid appliance! 

 

When I bought my condo four years ago, all the appliances were new and Kitchen Aid. One by one they failed, starting with the stove control panel. I replaced it and it failed again. Customer service said they'd pay for half of another one, and I said forget it and bought a Bosc stove which has been fine. I also had to replace the refrigerator within two year, which never worked properly. Now I hear their dishwashers are catching fire, and I'm afraid to use mine. 

 

I've never, ever had problems with appliances before having Kitchen Aid. They are all nothing but over-priced and occasionally hazardous JUNK!
